ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

At Waypoint Christian Academy, our mission is to provide a loving, secure environment where children can develop socially, mentally, physically, and spiritually. The teaching at WCA is Christ-centered and the result is an environment where your child will be welcomed and loved by teachers who strive to love like Christ.

In addition to being a fully-licensed, full-day daycare for ages 6-weeks and up, we also offer half-day Parent's Morning Out, Preschool, and Kindergarten. For elementary-age children, we offer before-school and after-school care, as well as a summer camp.

 In 2013 we were honored to win the Award for Excellence in Child Safety and Security by Security360, L.L.C. We are one of only two churches in the state to receive this award.

ABOUT OUR STAFF

All teachers at Waypoint Christian Academy are selected with care. Each teacher is required to have a Child Development Associate credential or higher. Each teacher is then required to receive ten hours of continuing education, plus training in:

  • CPR and First Aid

  • Bloodborne Pathogen Protection

  • Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention

  • Georgia Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect

  • Emergency Procedures pertaining to Natural and Man-made Disasters and Emergencies

  • Fire Extinguisher Procedures

  • OSHA Safety Compliance Training

Teachers at Waypoint Christian Academy are encouraged to continue to learn and grow personally and to constantly seek new ways to help each child grow spiritually, mentally, academically, and socially.
